Dota 2

Since I haven't seen anyone post this, I'll post this myself.

Here's what it's about from my recommendation from Steam:

"Defense of the Ancients 2, or DoTA 2 for short, is a Multiplayer Online Battle Arena, or MOBA for short, Where you select heroes based on three stats: Strength, Intelligence, and Agility. The characters have 5 different playstyles: Carry, Pusher, Ganker, Initiator, and Support, each giving them a speific way to strategize for the match. This game is rather hard and this makes the MOBA game League of Legends a piece of cake. The character designs are amazing, due to the fact Valve would be sued for having the same template as Blizzards models, they remade it into their own style of it, such as Sniper from a Dwarven Riflemen to a Steampunk Sniper. The gameplay of this is to defend your ancient, with the sides called Radiant (Sentinels in DoTA 1) and Dire (Scourge in DoTA 1), from the opposing team, if you keep dying by the opposing team, then you're screwed by giving them more power from gold."

If anyone plays this, feel free to add me, my name is Gawayno on steam.

The game seems pretty interesting, and considering Valve took it up, it should definitely be pretty nice. Not sure how well voice chat will really go in a game like this, but eh, whatever.
Am I right in assuming it's just like an updated DoTA 1, or are there new features/heroes?

From what I recall, I did play DoTA 1, but not much like... 7 Years ago. xD
But yeah, I'm assuming it's a updated DoTA 1, if all the heroes are released, they might make new ones after the ones from the first are released.
Also, the survey is still going on for DoTA 2, so you can still join.

I recently jumped off the LoL train after the season four changes started grinding my gears.  Even after hearing a lot of shit about DOTA from the LoL community, I tried it anyway and after a week, I gotta say... I prefer DOTA.  The heroes are more interesting, the gameplay, while more difficult, is also more rewarding, the load times are way faster, and DOTA has Weaver.  So goooood... Weaver...
Yes there are more disconnects but honestly it's still less toxic than the LoL community.

I literally played two games like this (not including this bot game) and won in both matches.

But yeah, it'd be neat if I could fix this.
