Yup. All I can see this as is a black hole for Kickstarter money - money that almost certainly will be pocketed instead of going to development, simply because this kind of system is impossible to fully realize with our current level of technology. (Second Life is the closest thing to this right now, and even a simple chain with Havok enabled will DoS the server.)

EDIT: This also sounds like a veritable factory for Internet addiction-related horror stories like the kind that South Korea is dealing with right now. At least this is like the real world, instead of just being a Skinner box.
