I'm not really a fan, mainly since none of the games reached UK shores.

Didn't stop us from playing as Ness and Lucas in the Super Smash Bros. games, though.

The Mother Series is a series of turn-based rpg's with some real-time events. The games are well known for their amazing humor and story, and that they are very disturbing at many points.
The sad part is, only one game came out in US, and none in Europe, so thats why we have piracy and teams to make english versions.

I never did finish Earthbound, but I was one of the people who constantly checked on the progress of the Mother 3 translation. The moment it was out, I patched my game and played until I had finally beaten it.

tl;dr: yes.

so i beat Earthbound again just today, the second playthrough was like 1000x easier than last time since i knew what i was doing now

its just one of those rare examples of games you play for the story, theme, and quirkiness and not the gameplay or graphics

I like them all equally. I like Mother because it keeps me up at night for no reason at all, I like Earthbound because it introduced me to the whole shindig (though technically that honor belongs to chuggaaconroy), and I like Mother 3 because of how much the entire experience loves to alter your mind the whole way through.

Unfortunately the only one I've actually played is Mother. Shame on me for spoiling these games for myself, I really wished I could've told my past self that emulators exist.
